Effective February 23, 2010 The Holiday Inn & Suites is currently searching for the following talent:
Kitchen Line Cook (AM or PM PT Varied) A Line Cook is responsible for a variety of kitchen and food preparation duties, including preparing food of consistent quality following recipe cards, productions and portion standards. Prepare sauces, soups, and hot entrees in accordance with menu. Qualified candidates will have a keen attention to detail, be guest service oriented, ability to prioritize and work well under pressure. Working knowledge of foood sanitation standards and experience with various kitchen tools is required. 1 year previous cooking experience also required. Previous experience at a property of similar size and quality is desired.
Food & Beverage Buss Person (PT PM Varied) This position is reponsible for clearing, cleaning, sanitizing and re-setting table in the restaurant. Buss Personnel support restaurant servers by ensuring the restaurant is fully stocked at all times, providing water service to guest and maintaining the highest level of cleanliness in the restaurant at all times. Previous restaurant or guest service experience desired. Ability to stand for long periods of time, lift, push, and pull heavy items requently, move quicky in a fast paced environment and interact in a positve manner with guests and staff at all times is required.
Food & Beverage Supervisor (PT PM Varied) - Reporting to the Food & Beverage Director, this position will assist management staff with the daily supervision of department activites. Assign associates to stations, communicate daily department goals and encourage and motivate staff. This position is also responsible for ensuring all guests are receiving top quality service and products at all times. Assist and support staff in fulfilling daily tasks; seat guests, take room service management experience required. Hotel/Restaurant management degree preferred. Outgoing personality and ability to work quickly while making sound decisions under pressure is a must!
Food & Beverage Cocktail Server / Bartender Floater (PT PM Varied) - This position will alternate working as a Bartender and/or a cocktail server in Martels lounge. A Bartender is responsible for serving beverages and food to guests in a friendly, courteous, and timely manner at the bar and prepare beverages for the cocktail servers as requested/needed. Cocktail servers are responsible for serving beverages and food to guests at their table. Explain menu items, anticipate guests needs, up-sell and engage with guests in an efficent, friendlly and professional manner. 6 months previous bartending experience is required.
Night Auditor (FT Overnight Varied) - This position is responsible for conducting all nightly audit-related duties while operating the hotel's front desk systems for PBX, reservations, and check-in/check-out in accordance with company standards for quality, cleanliness, guest satisfaction, and safety and security. Basic math aptitude, keen attention to detail and previous customer service experience is required. Previous hospitality experience is a plus! The ability to work alone for long periods of time and to exercise sound judgment while working under pressure is essential. Candidate must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with many types of personalities.
Kitchen Dishwasher (PT AM Varied) - Dishwashers are responsible for the proper set up, running and breakdown of the dish washing machine. Dishwashers must ensure the cleanliness of all kitchen tools, plate ware, flatware, glassware, etc. Maintain a clean kitchen area, empty trash, sweep and mop the kitchen and back of the house floors as needed and/or requested.
Houskeeping Supervisor (PT) - A Housekeeping Supervisor will assist the Executive Housekeeper in monitoring the cleanliness of guest rooms and common areas of the hotel.. Insspect the guest rooms after the room attendant has completed cleaning, checking for compliance with all standards. Demonstrate proper procedures to the room attendants and houseman as needed. Assist housemand and/ or room attendants when required or requested. Keen eye for detail, outgoing personality and ability to effectivelly communicate are desired. Previous supervisory experience is also desired. Previous housekeeping experience is required.
Guest Services Bellstaff (AM & PT PM Varied) - This position is responsible for assisting guests with carrying luggage and packages to and from guest rooms and meeting areas. Explain features of rooms and promote hotel facilites, outlets, and services to guest. Bell staff are also responsible for driving company vans/busses on various routes as scheduled/needed. A valid driver's license, Class B license is required, CDL is preferred. Outgoing, friendly personality and previous experience is also preferred. This position will typically work evening shifts.
Guest Service Representative (PT Varied) - Guest Service Representatives are required to respond to guest requests promptly, promote hotel services, facilities, and outlets. This position is responsible for checking guests in and out of the hotel in a prompt and courteous manner. Use up-selling techniques to maximize room rates. Prepare for and handle all group and VIP arrivals. Accountable for various cash, credit and direct bill account transactions. Complete cashier reports, prepare deposits and reconcile a cash drawer/bank. Qualified candidates must be albe to multi-task, stay focused under pressure and problem solve while maintaining guest confidentiality, safety and security. Previous customer service and cash handling experience is required. Previous experience working in a hotel of similar size and quality is desired. Previous experience with Opera 4.0 is also desired.
Marketing Internship (Flexible) - We are currently searching for a creative marketing intern. This position will prospect business, develop campaigns to expand our current client email database and create and / or manage our social marketing on various websites such as Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, etc. This is an unpaid internship
