"We stayed at this hotel for 3 nights, attending the 2009 Northern Lights Volleyball National Qualifier. This was the 2nd weekend for the tournament and the hotel was ready for the extra guests. Check in and check out was great. This hotel is another hotel used by Pilots and Flight Attendants. I always enjoy seeing this, as it has usually gone hand in hand with a good property. Our room was on the 5th floor, facing the MSP airport. Our room was spacious, even for 2 beds. The bathroom was large, with lots of counter space. We had a large flat screen tv that worked great and had a great assortment of channels to choose from. Room has a microwave and refrigerator. Free wireless access from the room that worked perfectly. You also have internet access from the Business Center on the 2nd floor and from 2 terminals in the front lobby. They have a nice fitness center and a great swimming pool and hot tub. I did not check out the Sauna. The swimming pool area has a ping pong table and a Foosball table. And several arcade games. They had ping pong paddles available, but they have seen better days. If I were to visit again, I would bring my own paddles. They do not have a free breakfast buffet, but there is a restaurant in the hotel that serves breakfast. We did not have the need to check out the restaurant. The hotel parking is in the ramp, connected to the hotel via the 2nd floor. Plenty of parking places set aside for hotel guests, including the top floor. (2nd floor hotel access level) Another reviewer commented about the noise from the train that travels just outside the hotel property. I never did notice the train sounds or aircraft noise during our stay. But we did have the rooms ac/heater fan going the entire time, so that may have drowned out any noise. The train does have a stop, just a couple minutes walk from the hotel. Located at the Reflection Condos, visible from the hotel. It is the last stop before the Mall of America. The train is very inexpensive and runs from the MOA to downtown. This would be a great hotel for any one going to the Metrodome, being able to use the nearby train stop. We had a great stay at this hotel and would absolutely stay here again." - iowacityia, April 28, 2009, www.TripAdvisor.com
"I recently had my wedding reception at the Holiday Inn Select in Bloomington. It was PERFECT!! The look and the feel of the Holiday Inn was great! Staff were top notch, amazing, very professional and made my day incredible! Every staff member was a great help and the ballroom looked beautiful! Most of the guests stayed in the rooms and all of them complimented how nice looking and comfortable the rooms were. The remodel they just had was fantastic and very nice looking! Everything looked so wonderful! Everything about the Holiday Inn suited my needs and I would highly recommend them for future wedding receptions or just to stay there on vacation. Exceptional hotel with great accommodations!!" - newbride3, April 21, 2009, www.TripAdvisor.com
